Description

Here we have an extremely rare example of a mint condition original 1959 Gibson ES-175 with a single humbucker pickup. These guitars have been celebrated as a jewel amongst guitarists since their inception in 1949. With their laminated maple construction and beautiful sunburst finish, these instruments are amongst the best-performing electric acoustic guitars produced by Gibson as they cut down on the natural feedback often experienced when playing hollow-body guitars.

This particular guitar was purchased on September 29, 1959, in Brooklyn, NY at Sam Ash Music. The guitar is in impeccable condition and plays and sounds fantastic. The action is nice and low and has been set up with flat-wound strings perfect for jazz-style playing. Everything on this instrument is 100% original and is in perfect playing condition. The guitar comes with the original sale receipt from Sam Ash Music, original hang tags from Gibson, and an original envelope with humbucking pickup adjustment instructions from Gibson.
