Description

Just in is this beautiful original 1960 Fender Jazzmaster with a sunburst finish. This vintage electric guitar epitomizes the pinnacle of Fender craftsmanship and innovation during the golden era of guitar manufacturing. With its distinctive offset waist body shape, the Jazzmaster exudes timeless elegance and ergonomic comfort, making it a beloved instrument among electric guitar enthusiasts.

Crafted with precision and attention to detail, the 1960 Jazzmaster features a solid alder body that delivers a resonant, balanced tone with excellent sustain. Its maple neck boasts a smooth, slim profile, facilitating effortless playability across the fretboard. Adorned with a slab rosewood fingerboard, this guitar offers a warm, inviting feel under the fingertips, ensuring a delightful playing experience.

The defining characteristic of this 1960 Jazzmaster is its unique pickup configuration, which includes two single-coil pickups meticulously designed to capture every nuance of your playing style. These pickups produce a rich, articulate sound with a perfect blend of clarity and warmth, making the Jazzmaster an incredibly versatile instrument suitable for a wide range of musical styles, from surf rock to jazz to indie.

Equipped with a sophisticated floating tremolo system, the 1960 Jazzmaster allows players to add smooth, expressive vibrato to their performance while maintaining tuning stability. The distinctive control layout, featuring separate rhythm and lead circuits with individual tone and volume controls, provides players with a wealth of sonic possibilities, allowing them to sculpt their tone with precision and finesse.

The guitar is completely original except for the pickguard. It is an authentic Fender Jazzmaster guard from the 1960s but appears to have been replaced by the original owner at some point. The guitar has recently been set up in our shop with new strings, had the bridge adjusted for perfect playing feel and intonation, and all electronics have been cleaned with contact cleaner for perfect operation. We love these pre-CBS guitars as they have such a unique signature tone and feel to them that truly cannot be replicated. The guitar comes with the original blonde hard case and is in excellent condition with all the latches working perfectly. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or an aspiring enthusiast, this iconic instrument invites you to explore new musical horizons and forge unforgettable sonic landscapes with every note you play.
